Standard Reverse Osmosis

With standard Reverse Osmosis systems fluoride and contaminant removal effectively ceases after water passes from the R/O membrane to the holding tank.

After the holding tank water is passed to a final post treatment carbon filter to remove unpleasant taste and odours. This final carbon stage does not perform any primary filtration function.  As a result, even some of the highest quality R/O systems are only capable of removing fluoride at no greater 85 to 95%.

Low cost R/O systems often remove far less. We have tested some R/O systems sourced in China, especially tank free R/O units and found fluoride removal rates at less than 60%.

With the Series 5 PRO we have taken a very different approach to treating and remineralising R/O water and so it makes sense that we have re-engineered R/O technology to improve fluoride removal performance.

Wellness 'Fluoride Free R/O

The Wellness Fluoride Free R/O is a totally different to raditional R/O systems.

Instead of a post carbon filter in the final stage this four stage R/O system incorporates a special 'Ionic Resin' cartridge dedicated to capturing the fluoride ions that escape the R/O membrane stage.

As a result, our Flouride Free R/O  removes the widest possible range of harmful contaminants plus it has the highest fluoride removal rate of any R/O system now on the market, regularly achieving greater than 99.95% fluoride removal efficiency.

No traditional R/O system can match the fluoride removal performance of our system.

Note: All tests in accordance with NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53 & 58 for reduction of the substances listed. The concentration of the individual substances in water entering the system was reduced to a concentration less than or equal to the permissible limit for water leaving the system, as specified in the NSF 42, 53 & 58 Standard.

1. Percent reduction reflects the allowable claims for Volatile Organic Chemicals/Compounds as per NSF/ANSI 53 Standard, Section 7.2.4.1.

2. Performance claim for Cysts is based on NSF/ANSI 53 challenge protocol 7.3.2.2.4.3, which requires reduction of particles in the range of 3 +/- .15 micron. Performance claim for E.Coli is based on NSF/ANSI 53 challenge protocol 7.3.2.2.4.3, which requires reduction of particles in the range of 1 +/- .15 micron. Performance claim for Asbestos based on NSF/ANSI 53 challenge protocol 7.3.1.4.3, which requires reduction of particles greater than 10 micron in length.

b. Filter life will vary in proportion to the level of impurities in the water being treated. For optimum performance replace filter: (a) annually; (b) flow rate diminishes; (c) the filter becomes saturated with bad tastes and odors

Easy Change Cartridge System

The Fluoride Free R/O system  is so simple that cartridges can be easily changed by anyone aged from eight to eighty.  No plumber or specialist tools are required.

It incorporates a 'one twist' cartridge system that shuts off the water supply when you remove the first cartridge so you don't have to mess around with stop-cocks or water supply lines.

All cartridges are clearly labelled so identifying which cartridge goes where is straight forward.
